Retreat House

“Bishop Anba Epiphanius Retreat House” is one of the guesthouses of the Coptic Orthodox Monastery of Saint Macarius the Great, in the Egyptian Eastern Desert (Wadi al-Natrun), 120kms North of Cairo, Egypt. The house is only 30 mts distant from the main ancient monastery.
It was established by the thrice-blessed bishop Anba Epiphanius (1954-2018), abbot of the Monastery of Saint Macarius the Great, who desired to offer a comfortable place where non-Egyptian guests could stay.
It was inaugurated in September 2018 by H.H. Pope Tawadros II and named “Bishop Anba Epiphanius Retreat House.”
It offers modern comfortable rooms with private restrooms for one-day accomodations or retreats and long-period stayings for single pilgrims and groups. A chapel is available inside the building.
The ample parking facility allows you to park your car securely and enjoy a comfortable stay.
For stayings and retreats, reservation is required.
